What is Neurological Physiotherapy?
Neurological physiotherapy is the branch of physiotherapy that specialises in the treatment and management of people who have neurological conditions.
This may include conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease or spinal cord injury.
If you have had a Stroke, suffer with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, or another neurological condition (for example Bell's Palsy), you may have a problem with any of the following:
- Poor posture/inability to stand upright
- Muscle weakness affecting your arms/legs or both
- Tightness of your muscles
Please contact us for further information or if you would like to book an appointment.
The role of the Neuro Physiotherapist is to:
- Promote and maximise movement
- Improve balance and co-ordination
- Enhance levels of fitness
- Help reduce fatigue
If you think you would benefit from a physiotherapy assessment or require ongoing treatment following discharge from the NHS, book an appointment with Claire Estelrich, our specialist Neuro Physiotherapist on 01242 228019.
